Eduard Fiedler has recently contributed a new theological essay to the Czech science and research portal VědaVýzkum.cz, where he was invited to reflect on the mystery of Easter from a perspective that bridges theology, philosophy, and contemporary science. The result is a text that reflects on how the Easter event challenges modern ways of thinking about reality of relations.
The article, titled “Easter as a Paradox of Relationship”, approaches Easter not merely as a religious celebration but as a profound ontological event. At its core lies the question of relationality: how can life emerge out of death, meaning out of abandonment, and communion out of apparent rupture? Drawing on Trinitarian thought, Fiedler argues that Easter exposes the depth and paradox of all true relationships. Relation is not something secondary or accidental; it is constitutive of being itself.
The new essay builds on a conversation begun last year in Eduard Fiedler’s interview for VědaVýzkum.cz.
